Earth Day is definitely one of my favourite holidays of the year. I think it also has to do with the fact that when April 22nd rolls around it also means that warmer days are upon us… well except maybe this year. Nevertheless, it’s a day where I like to take stock of what I’m doing to protect the environment and what else I could do because to me Earth Day includes the 264 other days too (you can read and watch another interview I did on CTV about Earth Day here).
Today on A Morning News Ottawa, was a very special show focused on Earth Day and Easter (since this year the two holidays share the spotlight) and it was an honour to be a part of it as talking about eco-friendly locally-made products is by far one of my favourite conversation topics!
I did 2 segments with the lovely Lianne Laing. The first included reusable shopping and produce bags sold by Eco-Handbags.ca, a wide assortment of natural cleaning products by Bio Spectra’s Attitude brand, premium bed linens from St.Geneve made from 100% certified organic cotton and beautifully handcrafted jewellery made from recycled silver by Jake + Cleo.
The second segment was centred more around food. We featured dried wild crafted mushrooms and Labrador Tea from Wild Gaspé Food Products, Vega’s Whole Food Health Optimizer which is plant based protein supplement powders and Vega Shake ‘n Go powders by Sequel Naturals, Almond Fresh and Ryza dairy alternatives from Earth’s Own and Kicking Horse Coffee tins made from fair trade and 100% organic coffee.

Great blog! I use the Attitude line of products and I can say it is fantastic. I use the dish washing, dishwasher, and laundry detergent. I can never go back now. It’s a part of my life.
