Being comfortable while pregnant
So this is how I’ve been staying comfy outside the home. Comfort is so important when you’re pregnant. It’s possible to find great and affordable made in Canada and Made in USA clothes you’ll be able to wear throughout your pregnancy. I’ve been doing it since the start!

I’m going to have a made in Canada baby!

I’ve written about my love of Kicking Horse Coffee before but I wanted to share with you how I make my perfect cup of coffee using almond milk and agave nectar.
More →Products made in the USA are available in many of the stores you already frequent. As I make my way though the store directory, I am finding all kinds of hidden gems in typical stores that are American made. Buying more products made in the USA is just the beginning. The more we know about the implications of our actions, the better armed we are to become ethical consumers. Start by checking labels, asking more questions and educating yourself.
More →Earth Day is definitely one of my favourite holidays of the year. I think it also has to do with the fact that when April 22nd rolls around it also means that warmer days are upon us… well except maybe this year. Nevertheless, it’s a day where I like to take stock of what I’m [...]
More →What’s your take on consumerism and this world of planned obsolescence we now live in? CTV News Montreal had me on to talk about responsible consumption in time for Earth Day. To demonstrate my point, I had with me in the interview some locally-made, eco-friendly products by Ecojot, St.Geneve and Bio Spectra’s Attitude products.
More →Buying locally made changes lives
As far as consumer goods are concerned, I won’t lie and tell you it’s easy to only buy locally made, some products are really hard to find but believe me, once you start seeking out to buy Canadian or American intentionally, you will not be able shop like you used to ever again. As a Canadian, I still throw in a lot of made in the USA stuff simply because between our two countries, we manufacture more than enough of what I need and I never have to settle on anything “just because”.

Unlike a lot of people out there, I actually practice what I… rant and rave about ;) Here are some of the different brands I buy. Most of these companies are on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube as well. You can follow my made in Canada Twitter list here and my made in USA Twitter list here both of which I update on a daily basis.
More →And the next emerging lifestyle trend is…
Whether you want to buy Canadian made because you are Canadian or want to buy American made because you’re American, or if you are like a growing number of people – who choose to buy North American, one thing I think we can all agree on is that this decision inevitably becomes a lifestyle decision. [...]

I love, love, love True Religion Brand Jeans. Yes, they are expensive but I dare you to try on a pair and not want to buy them! They will fit you like no other jeans and your butt will look fab! Shopping for a pair of jeans is much like shopping for a bathing suit, [...]
More →Yep, seems official now: Clipping coupons is on the rise again. And I don’t think that’s a bad thing. It is said that you can cut your grocery bill by over half, just by redeeming discount coupons. That reason alone should be enough to get anyone to open-up that weekly specials bag that’s delivered to [...]
More →I don’t get it. You leave the city, for vaster and greener spaces and a greater quality of life. Whether you accept it or not, when you live in the burbs, you live near malls, plazas and shopping centres. When you lived in the city, large surface stores were a rarity. Even a novelty as [...]
